About Herbal Consultations at Open Care Community
Herbal consultations offer personalized support using Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal formulas. These consultations focus on understanding the whole picture of a patient’s health and determining whether herbal medicine may be a helpful addition to their care.
All herbal consultations are provided by licensed practitioners trained in Chinese herbal medicine.
What to Expect in an Herbal Consultation
During an herbal consultation, the practitioner will take time to discuss your health history, current symptoms, and overall constitution. Based on this assessment, the practitioner may recommend a customized herbal formula or an existing formula that aligns with your needs.
Herbal consultations are separate from acupuncture appointments and allow dedicated time to focus specifically on herbal therapy.
Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture
Herbal medicine and acupuncture are often used together as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While acupuncture works externally through the body’s channels, herbal medicine works internally and may offer additional support between treatments.
