Community acupuncture allows us to keep treatments affordable while maintaining high standards of care. Patients are treated together in a shared space, which helps reduce overhead costs and makes regular acupuncture more accessible.

All treatments are provided by licensed acupuncturistsusing sterile, single-use needles. The shared room is well ventilated and designed to be calm, spacious, and supportive of rest and relaxation.

Patients pay what is affordable to them on our sliding-scale, from $50-$95 with an additional $15 fee for the first appointment.

In our community clinic, patients are treated together in a large, well-ventilated room by our dedicated, compassionate staff. Each patient receives individualized care, tailored to their needs.

Unlike in private acupuncture, there are multiple patients being treated in the room together - this allows us to treat more patients per hour, which provides savings that we pass on to our patients. By receiving treatment in our community room and participating in our sliding scale, patients are entering into a healing relationship with us and each other. Open Care Community provides some of the most affordable acupuncture in NYC.

What Happens During a Visit

At your appointment, you will have a brief check-in with the practitioner to discuss how you are feeling that day. Based on this check-in, the practitioner will provide either a front or back acupuncture treatment. Most patients rest quietly during treatment. Many people find the experience calming and grounding.

Additional services such as cupping, gua sha, herbal consultations, or an extra front/back treatment may be booked separately at the practitioner’s discretion.
