Massage
At Open Care, each massage is tailored to the presentation, needs and expectations of each client.
Open Care massages include a combination of techniques such as tui na and shiatsu - traditional forms of massage in Chinese and Japanese medicine, focal trigger point and myofascial release techniques to promote relaxation and therapeutic effects.
Alongside these, circular friction, acupressure, stretching, effleurage (circular stroking using the palm of the hand) and petrissage (deep tissue kneading and compression movements) are used for managing acute or chronic pain.

Cupping
Cupping is an ancient form of medicine in which various tools are used to create suction on the skin. This suction creates upwards pressure on the skin, relieving tension, improving blood flow, reducing inflammation and promoting cell repair.
Cupping can be applied to many body parts such as your back, legs, and arms.

Gua Sha
Gua Sha, meaning to “scrape toxins” is a technique that dates back to the Ming dynasty. This treatment involves the use of a tool to apply pressure and scrape across the skin. Gua Sha leaves some redness on the face which will disappear after a few days.
Gua Sha Therapy moves blocked energy, relieves pain and improves circulation.
